This is a high quality dark roast with dark colored beans oily looking beans. The flavor is robust and dark but not bitter. There's the signature sweetness I expect with Vietnamese coffee and it's low acidity makes it smooth. This coffee has an average amount of caffeine and I enjoyed it with 2/3 of a cup of frothed milk. I ground 2 scoops medium fine and brewed it with 12 ounces of water which made a strong cup. This coffee would make a good choice for people who like dark roast that isn't bitter.

This is a great medium roast coffee, so if you're looking for strong full body, this may not be the flavor experience you're looking for. Given that, it is a very nice tasting coffee that is very smooth and left me without experiencing that typical bitter coffee after taste. I'd say it's "medium body" and my coffee snob spouse (who likes strong, robust, fancy coffee) agrees it's good and "soft on the palate" (his words).
Given the price of "cheap" box store coffee skyrocketing, I'd say this is probably is about what you'd expect to pay these days for a more "boutique" coffee, but I am no expert on coffee prices.

Blu Ore's Dark Onyx Vietnamese Arabica is a solid dark roast. Ground the whole beans myself, and it brewed nicely in my machine, delivering a full and smooth cup every time. It's the kind of coffee you expect when you want a rich, morning brew.

Where it really stands out is the low acidity. Didn't experience any stomach discomfort after drinking it, which can sometimes be an issue with darker roasts, so that's a definite plus. There's a subtle fruitiness and natural sweetness to it, but the main thing is how well it sits while still providing that dark roast intensity. It's a good find for daily use.

I reach for this Dark Onyx Vietnamese Arabica coffee whenever I want a quiet coffee moment, especially early mornings. It has a full aroma as soon as the bag opens and the brewed cup has a rich, smooth body that makes it easy to sip slowly. The low acidity means it goes down clean without harshness, and the flavor has just enough complexity to keep it interesting.

My favorite way to enjoy it is outside with the sunrise, just sitting and letting the warmth and smell wake me up before the day starts. I don’t have any complaints—the coffee feels well balanced and makes my basic morning routine feel a little more intentional. Great for anyone who likes savoring the flavor and aroma of a dark roast.
